Inspired by David Bowies 1973, Aladdin Sane album cover, Vans created a new pair of sneakers. The album cover featured a portrait of David Bowie himself with lightning flash make up across his face in the colours red and blue. The Vans 2019 collection chose to feature the iconic blue and red lightning flash, used on Bowie’s album, on a clean, metallic white background.
