About

Puma X-Ray

The X-Ray is Puma’s take on the layered silhouette that was in fashion around the turn of the century. The name refers to the construction: panels that lie over each other as separate layers, as if you’re looking through the shoe to what’s underneath. Each plane has its own material and its own color.

The design stacks deliberately. Over a mesh base lie suede and synthetic leather panels in different textures, with the leaping cat as a large element on the side and a second, smaller brand mark on the heel. The midsole runs in multiple visible layers with a thick rubber rim underneath, and the lacing sits high with an extra eyelet on the instep.

The selection on this page shows how broadly the brand uses the name: besides the regular versions there are collaborations with the motorsport world, including versions tied to Red Bull’s Formula 1 team, with corresponding team colors and emblems.

Within the brand range the Puma Slipstream and the Puma CA Pro cover the classic side, while the Puma Scuderia Ferrari line develops the motorsport angle further.

On this page you can see which versions of the Puma X-Ray are currently the hottest according to the Hypescore, from what price they can be found and in how many shops they are in stock.
