About Nike Total 90 SE
Nike Total 90 SE: the same shoe, in snakeskin
The SE is not a new model but a more richly executed Total 90 III. Where the regular III wears smooth synthetic leather, the Special Edition is covered in a full snakeskin print, from the toe to the heel panel. The silhouette remains identical, including the stitched braided pattern over the toe and total90 in mirror writing on the heel, but the material lifts the shoe out of the sports hall and into the fashion world.
You see that difference in every detail. The snakeskin print continues into the smallest panels, the swoosh is applied in a tone-on-tone execution so the texture remains the main focus, and the sole is often kept in an off-white tint to make the whole warmer. This is the Total 90 for those who know the silhouette but don’t want to wear the standard version.
The SE is part of the revival with which Nike has been bringing the Total 90 back since 2024, and it appears mainly on the women’s last. The offering is narrower than that of the regular III, so sizing is more limited. Those who want the same shape in other directions look to the heel-less Mule or the Shox Magia with its columns underneath.
