About Ugg Classic Mini II
Ugg Classic Mini II
The Classic Mini II is the revised version of the boot that, together with the Tasman, forms UGG’s viral duo. It’s the shortest model in the Classic family: an ankle boot of reversible sheepskin, with the wool on the inside and the suede on the outside.
The second generation solved the most well-known complaint. Where the original Classic boots would stain after a rain shower and the sole offered little grip, this version received a water- and stain-repellent treatment plus a sturdier outsole with a fine block tread. The leather brand label sits on the side, and the seam along the back runs down in a braided stitch.
Height is the distinguishing factor within the family. The Mini stops just above the ankle, while the Classic Short and Tall reach mid-calf and just below the knee, respectively. The Ugg Classic Ultra Mini goes even shorter, and the Ugg Tasman is the slip-on without a shaft.
That the shorter models became the most popular fits how the boot was worn: not as a winter boot over trousers, but as an ankle model worn on its own and easy to combine.
