About Saucony Jazz Original
The S you immediately recognize
The Saucony Jazz Original appeared in 1981 as a running shoe and later grew into a casual classic. The trademark is the large S that runs as a leather strip along the side down to the sole. The silhouette is low and slim, in the style of the retro runners of that time.
The upper
On the upper the Jazz combines nylon with suede on the toe, the sides and the heel. That mix gives the shoe a light, breathable construction with just enough structure, and ensures the model works in almost any color scheme. The Saucony logo on the heel finishes the design.
The sole
Underfoot is the characteristic outsole with triangular studs, which provides grip in multiple directions. Above it sits a light midsole that keeps the shoe comfortable without adding height. It’s a build that stays close to the original from the 1980s.
