About Salomon ACS PRO

Salomon ACS Pro

The ACS Pro comes from the trail archive of Salomon and was reissued when the brand’s technical mountain shoes found their way into the city. The shape remained unchanged; the destination shifted from the trail to the asphalt.

The distinction is in the upper. Over a mesh base lies a cage of welded plastic straps that envelop the foot, with the Salomon logo large on the side. The lacing is the thin Quicklace that made the brand known: a single pull cord with a toggle instead of regular laces, here in contrasting red.

The sole is built for rough terrain, with a lugged block pattern that reads on the street mainly as a coarse detail. That is exactly why the model returned: the technical look of mountain footwear, worn outside the mountains.

The shoe also appeared in collaborations, including with a fashion house that released a version in its own colorways. For the faster, lower-profile model from the same lineage, see the Salomon XT-4.
