A chunky runner from the RS line
The Puma RS-Connect is a chunky retro runner from Puma’s RS line, where RS stands for “Running System”, the cushioning technology from the 1980s that the brand revived. The silhouette is full and layered: mesh with overlapping suede overlays, a large Formstrip across the side, and a thick, wavy RS midsole underneath. It’s a shoe with pronounced Y2K energy, built to stand out.

The construction is about volume and a mix of materials. Panels of mesh and soft suede alternate, with the Formstrip as the unifying line and “RS” branding on the heel. Underfoot sits a generous, sculpted RS midsole with a wavy profile, which gives the shoe its heavy, technical stance. Bright color blocks complete the retro look.

The RS-Connect appeared, alongside the regular colorways, in motorsport editions, with collaborations around Porsche Legacy and BMW M Motorsport.
