Nike Structure 25

The Structure is Nike’s stability shoe, and the name says exactly what the model does: provide structure to a foot that tilts inward after landing. The line has existed since 1991 and is thus one of the oldest the brand still carries, with the twenty-fifth generation as its current endpoint.

The way that support is provided has changed over the years. Where older stability shoes had a hard wedge on the inside, this generation uses firmer foam walls on both sides of the heel that keep the foot centered. In the midsole is the brand’s resilient layer, with the model name embossed on the side; the upper is a double-layer mesh with a padded collar and a reinforced heel counter.

Its positioning is as an everyday trainer for runners who need guidance. Neutral runners are better off with an unstructured model, because the support adds weight without giving anything back.

Within the range, the Nike Vomero 18 is the softest neutral trainer and the Nike Revolution 7 the simplest. Among other brands the Brooks Adrenaline serves the same category.
