The Nike Calm Mule is the closed version of the popular Calm line: a foam clog with a closed toe, an embossed Swoosh and an adjustable heel strap. That strap you can wear behind the heel for grip, or flip forward to wear it as a backless mule. Under the foot lies a soft, textured foam sole. It is a comfort shoe to slip into, built around the same calm the name Calm refers to.
Closed toe, soft foam
The construction revolves around soft foam. The closed toe covers the toes and the embossed Swoosh sits flush in the material, while the heel strap controls ease and fit. The sole is thick and textured for grip and cushioning. The whole is light and simple, made for comfort rather than for sport.

The Calm Mule falls under the broader Nike Calm, with the open counterpart the Calm Slide. Where the Calm Slide is an open slide, the Calm Mule covers the toe like a clog. Together they form the comfort and recovery offering of the line, in an open and a closed variant.
