The Jordan Play Slide is Jordan Brand’s classic strap slide: a single wide strap across the instep, a large Jumpman logo on it and a soft, molded footbed underneath. It’s the brand’s most straightforward slip-on, made to pull on after sports, at the pool or just in summer. Also known as the Jordan Play Slippers, it appears in men’s, women’s and kids’ sizes.
One strap, a soft footbed
The construction is that of a proper slide. The wide strap holds the foot in with a light, flexible upper, and the contoured footbed cushions the foot with a soft, slightly textured layer. Underfoot is a molded sole with a chevron tread for grip. The whole is light and simple, exactly what you’d expect from an everyday slide.
In Jordan’s heel-free lineup
The Play Slide belongs to Jordan’s summer heel-free models, alongside the Jordan Mule and the foam Hex Mule. Where the mules cover the toe, the Play Slide keeps it open with just a strap. It’s the most accessible and most worn of the three, for anyone who simply wants to quickly put something on.
