About Jordan Flight Court
Jordan Flight Court
The Flight Court is Jordan Brand in skate territory. The brand that grew big on basketball shoes has built here a low, wide silhouette that comes straight from the skate scene: thick suede panels where a skateboard deck’s griptape wears the most, a flat sole with gum rubber and a construction that stays close to the ground.
The heritage is still visible. The Flight script is written in cursive on the heel, the legacy of the old Jordan Flight line, and there is a small rectangular label on the tongue. The toe is made of rough suede with a padded edge above it, and on the side a mesh panel sits between the panels for ventilation. The midsole runs as a thin white band around the shoe, with a gum outsole that rises up over the toe.
Jordan Brand’s step into skateboarding is not new: the brand has previously released SB versions of classics. What is new is that this is an original silhouette instead of an adapted basketball shoe, built from what skaters ask of a shoe.
Within the broader range the Jordan Flight line represents the everyday side of the brand, while the Air Jordan 1 Low provides the silhouette that skaters have been modifying themselves for decades.
