Kith — sneaker collabs
Kith began in 2011 as the brainchild of Ronnie Fieg in New York, but his imprint on the sneaker world reaches further back. As early as 2007 Fieg completed his first collaboration with ASICS — the "252 Pack" Gel-Lyte III, which made the front page of The Wall Street Journal and sold out within 24 hours. That reputation for reworking classics became the foundation of Kith, which grew into one of the most influential names in sneaker culture. On this page his collaborations are gathered, with, for each release, the prices, sizes and availability from multiple online stores side by side.
From the Gel-Lyte III to the New Balance anniversaries
The common thread in Fieg's work is ASICS. His Gel-Lyte III "Salmon Toe" from 2010 is regarded as one of the most influential retro runners ever, and the model also became the very first Kith shoe in 2011. In the years that followed the collaboration grew into one of the most extensive in the industry — by 2023 Fieg had around a hundred ASICS projects to his name, including the long-running "Super Series".
Equally defining is the relationship with New Balance. For Kith's tenth anniversary and the 990's fortieth anniversary Fieg released a 2021 collection that brought together all generations of the 990, featuring the beloved "Daytona" colorway he first introduced in 2013 on the New Balance 1600. In addition, Kith works with adidas and with Clarks (the 8th Street line on the Wallabee). The common thread remains Fieg's eye for materials and restrained, earthy colors — almost always in limited runs.
Which Kith gives off the strongest hype signal?
The Hypescore reads the signal strength of every Kith colorway. Community votes, resale movement, search demand and scarcity together decide how much hype a sneaker gives off, expressed in GSv. On the left the strongest hype signals, on the right the colorways just being picked up and rising fast.
