Nike DUNK HIGH “Washed Denim” (DV2181-900)
Washed denim is hier geen gimmick maar de hoofdrol. Gebleekte, vervaagde spijkerstof ligt als overlay over een basis van romig, getumbeld wit leer, en precies daar wordt het interessant: de zachte blauwtinten lopen onregelmatig door, alsof de stof al een zomer heeft meegemaakt. Een gladde rode swoosh in leer snijdt er dwars doorheen en geeft de hele high-top zijn lef. De licht vergeelde zool maakt het vintagegevoel af, zonder dat het geforceerd oogt. Het romige wit houdt alles luchtig, zodat blauw en rood nooit zwaar worden.
Praktisch werkt die combinatie fijn. Het leer houdt zijn vorm en veeg je met een doekje zo weer schoon, terwijl de hoge snit je enkel steun geeft op langere dagen. Het denim voegt textuur en karakter toe dat een egale sneaker mist. Wil je de blauwtinten laten spreken?
