Adidas Dropset

The Dropset is adidas’ strength shoe, named after the training method where you lower the weight to push the set through. The model is built for the gym and not the track: a wide, flat base that stays stable under load, with just enough flexibility to move between exercises.

The construction shows the choices. Under the heel is a firm, flat block that doesn’t compress when lifting, while the forefoot gives slightly for lunges and short sprints. On the sides the three stripes sit as plastic straps that hold the foot, with a reinforced rim along the sole. The upper is a tightly woven mesh with a heel loop and the model name printed small on the instep.

That the brand entered late here explains the positioning: the Dropset targets the regular gym-goer rather than the competitive athlete, and competes mainly on price and comfort.
