Wit voert hier de boventoon, van het bovenwerk tot en met de tussenzool, en dat maakt deze Air Jordan 4 meteen fris en licht. Daartegenaan zet zwart nubuck op de neus en het mudguard een stevig contrast neer, terwijl de kenmerkende crisscross-overlays in datzelfde donkere nubuck de silhouetlijnen scherp aftekenen. Op de tong en de hiel prijkt het Jumpman-logo in wit, subtiel maar goed herkenbaar. De combinatie White/Black geeft de bijnaam White Thunder een logische bodem: schoon, contrastrijk en tijdloos, precies wat je van de FV4538-001 verwacht.
