ASICS comes from the world of running, and you can see that in its sizing. While lifestyle brands base their charts on the standard system, ASICS sticks to its own scale. The result is remarkably consistent: all fifteen sizes in its range correspond to a different EU value than a generic conversion predicts.

Every size differs
US 8.5 is EU 41 in ASICS. The standard chart converts that to EU 42. That pattern continues throughout the range from EU 37 to 45.5: for the same foot, ASICS uses a lower EU number.
If you convert your size from a US notation using a random chart, you’ll consistently end up too high for ASICS. This isn’t a brand you should order based on guesswork.
One scale for men and women
ASICS publishes one unisex range instead of separate men’s and women’s scales. That eliminates a lot of confusion, since this distinction is what causes the most sizing mistakes with other brands.
The difference is less pronounced in UK sizes: only four of the fifteen rows differ from the standard chart.
Fit
ASICS fits true to size for an average-width foot. Stick with your usual size.
If you have wide feet or wear thicker socks, going up half a size is a sensible choice. This is also reflected in the retro line, where the most common experience is that the model runs smaller than expected.

Still unsure?
Measure your foot from heel to longest toe and compare that length with the cm column. Do this while standing, at the end of the day. With a brand that differs on every EU size, the centimetre column is by far your most reliable reference.
Once you know your size, you’re two clicks away from being done. Enter it in the filter and you’ll only see shops that have your size in stock, with the cheapest option first. No more keeping multiple tabs open to compare prices, and no guessing at checkout.
Frequently asked questions about ASICS sizing
Do ASICS run large or small?
For the same foot, ASICS uses a lower EU number than a standard conversion. US 8.5 is EU 41 in ASICS, while the generic chart gives EU 42. All fifteen sizes in the range differ in this way.
Does ASICS have separate men’s and women’s sizes?
No, ASICS publishes one unisex size scale. The same US notation therefore always corresponds to the same EU size, regardless of whether the model is marketed as a men’s or women’s style.
Is my UK size correct for ASICS?
For the most part, yes. In UK sizes, four of the fifteen rows differ from the standard chart, compared with fifteen out of fifteen for EU sizes. If you know your UK size, you’ll be closer to the correct fit.
