Wit leer over het hele bovenwerk, een zwarte Swoosh die er strak tegen afsteekt: deze Air Force 1 Low houdt het contrast simpel, en juist daarom werkt het. Het witte leer vangt het licht mooi op, terwijl het zwart de vorm van de schoen aanzet en 'm net iets scherper maakt. Onder stylecode FV5948-101 gaat het om de GS-uitvoering, dus de kindermaten van een silhouet dat al sinds 1982 meegaat. De verhoudingen kloppen, de lijnen blijven rustig, niks schreeuwt om aandacht.
Leer heeft een fijn praktisch voordeel: het houdt zijn vorm, blijft netjes staan en een vlek veeg je zo weer weg. Het Nike Air-kussen in de zool vangt elke stap op, zodat een hele dag op de been comfortabel blijft. Wit met zwart is bovendien eindeloos te combineren, gooi 'm onder een spijkerbroek voor doordeweeks of houd het clean met een joggingbroek en een wit shirt, zodat de schoen het werk doet.
