Summit White vormt hier het rustige canvas, en juist daardoor krijgt de Canyon Rust alle ruimte. Die warme, terracotta-achtige tint ligt als slangenhuid over de zijpanelen en de swoosh, een reliëf dat het licht net even anders vangt dan glad leer. Sail-accenten aan de zoolrand houden het geheel zacht en warm, zonder dat het schreeuwt. Het is precies dat samenspel, wit dat kalmeert en roest dat opwarmt, waar deze EMB-uitvoering (HF2898-100) zijn karakter aan ontleent.
Het leren bovenwerk houdt zijn vorm en laat zich met een doek zo weer schoon vegen, handig bij een kleur die je wil laten opvallen. Onder je voet ligt de vertrouwde Nike Air-demping die stap na stap opvangt, zodat een lange dag op de been niet in je hielen gaat zitten. Qua styling doet die roestbruine slangenhuid het sterk tegen aardetinten: een crème broek, een olijfgroene jas, misschien wat verwassen denim. Rol de zoom net op en laat de Canyon Rust het werk doen.
