Nike Air Max 1 “Aster Pink”: the pink is the accent, not the whole shoe

Nike Air Max 1 Aster Pink DZ2628-110

Not another pair of pink sneakers I can’t walk past? I’ll admit it straight away: the moment there’s pink in a shoe I’m not the most objective person on the team, so read this with a pinch of salt. But I honestly think this Nike Air Max 1 “Aster Pink” (DZ2628-110) stands up without my bias doing the heavy lifting.

The base is white mesh, with sand-coloured suede panels over the side, the tongue and the heel. On top of that comes the pink: a suede mudguard around the toe, a pink swoosh, a pink trim along the heel and a small pink logo on the tongue label. Even the bottom of the sole has a thin pink line running through it. The rest is kept calm — white laces, a white midsole with the visible Air window, a black outsole beneath. What I notice is the proportion. The pink is bright, but it covers only a small part of the shoe; the sand and the white do most of the work. That’s the difference between a shoe you brave once a summer and one you just put on. Officially it’s White / Aster Pink / Light Orewood Brown / Black, and that order matches exactly what you see.

The pink is the accent, not the whole shoe

Would I wear it? Yes, and probably more often than is sensible. The question I always ask is whether I’d reach for a shoe on an ordinary Tuesday, and here the answer is yes. The sand brown makes it far easier to combine than a fully pink sneaker: it works with denim, with cream, with beige, with white — all colours that let the pink show without fighting it. Where I wouldn’t put it is under bright red or orange; then two colours start competing for the same attention. And as with any Air Max 1, this is a low, fairly narrow shoe with a thin tongue. Comfortable, but you have to like a slim silhouette. It came out in June 2024, so it’s been around long enough to compare calmly rather than decide on the spot. If you’d rather browse first, the rest of Nike is in the brand overview.

Sizes and price on Solezilla.com

Right now we’re tracking thirteen active listings from eleven shops, all in euros. The realistic floor is StockX at €89; Stadium Goods sits near €107, Side Kicks around €118, and the middle runs from roughly €129 to €165 at Collect District, Mentastore, Sneaker Ask and Sneakeregeer, with Klekt topping out at €232. GOAT also shows one listing at €59 — far enough below the rest that you check the size and condition first. There’s no UK or US offer on this pair at the moment, so pounds-and-dollars shoppers should factor in shipping and import.

On our Hypescore this Air Max 1 sits at 79, band ATOMIC, so there’s still real charge on it two years after release. If you’re going to buy, filter your own size first and then line the shops up side by side — with more than a hundred euros between the cheapest and dearest offer in the same size, it’s genuinely worth the minute. And yes, I’ve already checked my own size.
