This is next-level meta. It’s a Dunk with a photo of a Dunk on it. Seriously.
The Dunk Low “Copy Paste” from 2022 takes the idea of copy and paste and puts it literally on the shoe. A faded, scanned image sits over the gray leather — a ghostly outline of a Dunk, as if someone placed a sneaker on a copy machine and pasted the print onto the real shoe. Black Swoosh, sail-colored midsole, dark outsole. Gray on gray, with that print effect as the only trick. And that trick is enough.
I picked it up because I wanted something clean but not basic. And that’s exactly what it is: from a distance, a low-key gray Dunk; up close, a shoe that makes people stop and point. “Wait — is that a print of the same shoe?” Yes. Yes, it is.
In the rotation, it’s a low-key MVP. Gray goes with everything, so throw it on with baggy jeans, cargos or black track pants and you’re good to go. No loud colors dictating your fit, but still enough of a concept to keep it interesting. And the best part: while hyped Dunks became impossible to afford, you can still find this one for a steal on Solezilla — sometimes even below retail. A sleeper from the archives.
