DC grew out of skateboarding, where shoes tend to run large and need to fit securely. That’s reflected in its size chart, which, at EU 36 to 55, has by far the widest range of all the brands in this series. It also differs considerably from the standard: twenty of the twenty-four men’s sizes use a different EU value.
Up to EU 55
While most brands stop their charts at EU 46 or 47, DC goes all the way to 55. For anyone with larger feet, that’s the difference between being able to place an order and not being able to order at all.
One thing to note: in our size filter, US and UK sizes from 16 onward currently aren’t converted, so it’s best to convert the very largest sizes using the EU or centimetre column.
Where it differs
At DC, US 10 is EU 43, while the standard chart uses 44. That full-size difference continues through a large part of the men’s range.
The women’s range behaves differently: only three of the thirteen EU sizes differ, but all thirteen UK sizes are listed as a different value.
Fit
DC fits true to size. This is well supported for the Court Graffik family, the model the brand is best known for, and there’s no reason to assume the rest of the range fits differently.
We can’t give a verdict on the Manteca: there simply isn’t enough data to make a reliable claim. If you’re specifically looking for that model, go with your usual size and keep the return policy handy.
