NAKED x adidas Samba OG “Copenhagen Lace” (JI3993): the Samba with lace you will not find in stores

NAKED x adidas Samba OG Copenhagen Lace (JI3993)

Everyone has a Samba. That’s the whole problem. Black-white, white-gum, you see them on every schoolyard and every café terrace. Want a Samba that doesn’t instantly look like the rest, and you land here pretty quick: the NAKED x adidas Samba OG “Copenhagen Lace” (JI3993). A Samba with lace. Sounds weird, looks clean.

What you’re looking at

The base is an off-white leather Samba OG, so not bright white but a soft, slightly broken tone. The three stripes and the heel patch aren’t smooth leather, they’re lace, with a fine floral pattern you only really catch up close. From a distance it’s just a light Samba. Up close it’s a different story. The toe and the lace collar are rougher, hairy suede, which gives the shoe some texture against the smooth leather. Under it the classic gum sole, and “SAMBA” in gold on the side. The laces are tonal, so nothing shouts here. The whole thing is lowkey, but with enough detail to finish a fit.

Why this one’s different

NAKED is the Copenhagen sneaker store that’s worked with adidas for years. This Samba dropped in 2024 as part of their “Silvery Daisy” pack, and the lace is exactly the kind of detail they use to pull the Samba just off the standard. No crazy colour, no giant logo. Just a different material on the spot everyone looks at. On the Samba model page you can see how many colourways there are by now, but most are variations on the same theme. This is one you’ll actually recognise.

How to wear it

Easy. The Samba is low and narrow, so anything a bit baggy works: wide jeans, a cargo, a trackpant. The off-white base runs clean into a light sock or a bare ankle. Up top you don’t need to do anything mad, a hoodie or an oversized shirt is enough. The lace does the work. Plenty of people grab this as the “dressier” Samba, with a skirt or a wide trouser, but it’s unisex and the sizing runs through. Just know the Samba is famous for running narrow. Stuck between two sizes, the bigger one is usually the safer call.

Where it hurts: the price

Here’s the reality. At adidas it’s long sold out and there’s no word of a restock. What’s left runs through resale. Right now we count five listings on Solezilla.com, all in euros, with GOAT lowest at around €134, close to the original €130 retail. After that it jumps hard: StockX near €263, Sneaker Ask around €284, Collect District at €319 and Geturbrick at the top near €430. That’s a huge gap for the same shoe, and it rides mostly on your size and which marketplace you pick. There’s no UK or US listing on this pair, so pound and dollar buyers should factor in shipping and import.

The Hypescore sits at 85, so this is ATOMIC territory. That doesn’t mean the price only goes up. It means there’s still movement in it, and you look before you buy. At gaps like this you can leave tens of euros on the table by not checking.

Grail or Bail?

If you just want a Samba: bail, buy the standard and save your money. Want a Samba that’s actually a bit different and you’re willing to pay a little more, this is one of the better options across the whole adidas range. The lace is subtle enough to wear for years and the silhouette is still just a Samba. Before you pull the trigger, check the prices per size and per shop on Solezilla. Five listings, a spread of nearly €300. It pays to compare.
