Patta x Nike Air Max 1 “White” (DQ0299-100): the Amsterdam wave that is still ATOMIC three years on

Patta x Nike Air Max 1 White (DQ0299-100)

Some collabs land as a drop and are forgotten in a month. Others land like a wave and keep standing. The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 “White” (DQ0299-100) is the second kind: released in late August 2022 as part of the Waves series, and three years on still one of the most heavily charged Air Max 1s in our catalogue.

A wave out of Amsterdam

The silhouette is a plain Air Max 1, and somehow it isn’t. Patta swapped the mudguard for a rolling line of white leather that breaks like surf over the grey mesh of the toe. Down at the very front sits a small Swoosh in metallic silver, while the big Swoosh on the side runs in the same silver-grey. The rest of the upper is white leather with grey mesh at the collar, and the whole thing stands on a cream midsole with the familiar Air window in the heel. No screaming colours, no gimmicks. A white shoe with one idea, and the idea is good.

That’s exactly why this Air Max 1 holds on so long. The Monarch and the other Waves colours are the loud siblings; the White is the one you can wear every day without the wave ever wearing thin.

ATOMIC, and this isn’t leftover heat

Our Hypescore puts this Nike Air Max 1 at 86, in the top band, ATOMIC. For a 2022 shoe, that’s remarkable. Most collabs fall back after release as the resale cools and the supply dries up. Here it’s the reverse: the community still votes it Grail in Grail or Bail, and the resale market keeps the charge. The geiger counter is still ticking on a three-year-old Air Max 1, and that’s rare.

What the White actually costs

This is where it gets serious. We’re tracking fourteen listings from thirteen shops for the DQ0299-100 on Solezilla.com right now, every one of them in euros, and the lowest is €264 at Sneaker Ask, with Mentastore and StockX right behind near €270-273. From there it climbs through House of Sneakers, The Attic, Klekt, Collect District and Geturbrick to the top end, where Bite Em, Stadium Goods, KeepItSneaker and HYPENEEDZ run from about €450 to €495. That’s a gap of more than two hundred euros between the cheapest and the dearest for the exact same shoe, and that gap is precisely where a comparison tool earns its keep.

The original retail was €160, so even the floor sits a hundred euros over sticker, and the whole board sits well above it. There’s no UK or US listing on this pair, so if you’re shopping in pounds or dollars, add shipping and import before you judge any of these. The takeaway: whoever had the raffle luck in 2022 is sitting on a shoe that more than holds its value, and whoever wants it now compares by size first and takes the lowest of the fourteen.

Kaijū’s verdict

The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 White is not a shoe you buy on impulse. It’s one you bring home on purpose, because you know the wave isn’t rolling back out. White leather, a silver Swoosh and an idea that still works after three years. Want it? Check the size, then the price per shop, then grab the lowest of the fourteen. Vote it in Grail or Bail while you’re at it. Rule the Hype.
