De Sk8-Hi werd in 1978 gentroduceerd als Style 38 en had de inmiddels iconische Vans Sidestripe op een nieuw, innovatief hoog model. De Sk8-Hi was het tweede model met de herkenbare markering die voorheen bekend stond als de ‘jazzstreep’ en heeft de Vans-familie een geheel nieuwe look gegeven. De Vans Sk8-Hi bouwt voort op die eerste legendarische hoge schoen en heeft een bovenwerk van stevig sude en canvas met een klassieke logoprint.
