Fris wit leer als basis, knalrood als uitroepteken: de New Balance 550 in White/True Red laat je niet onopgemerkt lopen. Het felle 'True Red' kleurt de grote N op de zijkant, tekent de hiel scherp af tegen het witte bovenwerk en keert subtiel terug op de tong. Die strakke kleurscheiding geeft het retro-basketbalsilhouet zijn energie — clean genoeg voor een spijkerbroek, brutaal genoeg om de show te stelen.
Het bovenwerk is opgebouwd uit volledig kalfsleer: dat houdt zijn vorm seizoen na seizoen en veeg je met een doek zo weer schoon. Perforaties over de neus laten lucht door, zodat je voet koel blijft tijdens lange dagen op de been. Onder je loopt een vlakke rubberzool die grip pakt op gladde stoep.
