Charcoal en zwart houden hier de toon strak in bedwang: een gedekt, rokerig grijs dat nergens schreeuwt en juist daarom zo lang meegaat. De suède bovenkant geeft die zachte, matte diepte die een sneaker karakter geeft, terwijl de donkere meshpanelen ertussen lucht laten en de voet koel houden. Alles blijft binnen hetzelfde ingetogen palet, waardoor het silhouet er voller en volwassener uitziet dan de kleur op papier doet vermoeden. Voor de kenner: dit is de M2002RXZ, de variant die je aan dat rustige samenspel van grijstinten herkent.
Onder die kalme buitenkant zit techniek die je vooral bij nat weer waardeert. Een GORE-TEX-laag houdt regen buiten, zodat je voeten droog blijven als de stoep glimt, en de ABZORB-demping in de tussenzool vangt elke stap zacht op — comfort dat een hele dag lopen aankan. De rubberen loopzool pakt grip op gladde ondergrond. Draag 'm op een donkere selvedge of losse cargo en laat het grijs het werk doen.
