On’s shoe built for the city

The Cloudswift is On’s urban road runner, designed for daily training on hard, abrasive city surfaces.
Recent versions pair the CloudTec pods with On’s Helion foam, which adds resilience and a smoother, more forgiving ride than the brand’s early shoes.
It reads as a heritage On silhouette that has been quietly modernised over several generations.

Firm, secure and breathable

The ride is responsive and on the firm side, which suits shorter daily runs and easy sessions more than long-distance efforts.
Lockdown from heel to toe is a strong point, and the upper is genuinely breathable for warmer runs.
There is no real break-in period, so it feels settled from the first outing.

Where it fits

The Cloudswift tends to run slightly small, so it is worth checking your size before you buy.
Runners who want a softer, more flexible On ride should look at the On Cloudsurfer instead.
For maximum cushioning on longer road runs, the On Cloudmonster is the bigger, more protective option.
