About Adidas Pharrell

The long-running partnership with Pharrell

Under “adidas Pharrell” is the collaboration between adidas and musician-designer Pharrell Williams, a partnership that has been running for years. The best-known result is the Humanrace line, which began in 2016 with the NMD Humanrace and has since returned in many iterations.

Humanrace as a signature

Characteristic is the wavy “Humanrace” lettering, which on some models replaces adidas’s three stripes and runs from the ankle to the toes. Pharrell’s approach favors clean, often minimalist designs with a distinct sense of color.

From NMD to classics

The collaboration is not limited to a single silhouette: alongside the NMD line, including the later S1, Pharrell leaves his mark on classics from the adidas archive. Always recognizable, always slightly different from the standard release.
