Wit is hier de hoofdrol, en het staat de Air Jordan 12 uitstekend. Een schoon, helder leren bovenwerk vormt de basis, waar University Red doorheen loopt en het geheel meteen karakter geeft. Zwarte accenten voegen diepte toe en houden alles scherp, zodat het rood niet schreeuwt maar juist het oog trekt. Dit is de zogeheten Twist, bij kenners bekend als CT8013-106, en die mix van wit, rood en zwart maakt de variant net even brutaler dan een ingetogen tint — zonder over de top te gaan.
Het leer is meer dan een mooi oppervlak: het houdt zijn vorm, kreukt netjes en veeg je met een vochtig doekje zo weer fris. Wit vraagt om aandacht, dus een snelle beurt na een natte dag houdt de basis stralend. Qua styling komt dit paar sterk uit bij donkere denim of een zwarte broek, waar het rood dan als enige kleuraccent oppikt. Wil je dat rood laten knallen?
