About Puma GV Special
Puma GV Special
The GV Special is a tennis model from Puma from the 1980s, named after Argentine tennis player Guillermo Vilas. Its court origins are still visible in the low, streamlined silhouette.
The upper is classic court: smooth panels with a perforated toe for ventilation and the distinctive Formstrip along the side. Underfoot sits a substantial rubber cupsole stitched all around, which gives the model its sturdy, durable base.
The GV Special made the jump from the court to everyday wear and has appeared in numerous collaborations. Examples include versions with END., with Liberaiders in Cordura fabric and the The Never Worn series.
The model comes in leather and textile versions, from plain white to bold colourways. That keeps the Puma classic highly versatile.
