The Air Max Dn is the first truly new air cushioning Nike released in years. Instead of one large chamber under the sole there are four tubes in succession, each with its own pressure, that compress in sequence with every step. The name refers to Dynamic Air, and the idea is that the sole sinks in stages rather than all at once.
You notice that construction immediately. Under the shoe runs a row of bulging segments from heel to forefoot, like a series of air tubes visible protruding from the foam; one of the tubes has the model designation printed on it. The upper is a mesh with ribs that follow the shape of the sole, with the Swoosh in contrast on the side and a reinforced block on the heel.
The model appeared in 2024 and was immediately positioned as a successor generation, with its own date in the brand’s Air Max calendar. Further developed versions carry a number after the name.
