Asics x Bait Gel-Lyte III GL 3 ‘Nightmare’ (2015) (H53SK-9090)

ASICS work with West Coast footwear brand Bait to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the GL3’s with the release of the Gel Lyte III Bait ‘Nightmare’. Premium materials were used for this sneaker and they include tilapia skin suede and scaled-reptile suede for the upper. A full-grain leather imported from Japan is used for the formstripes on the side. The signature split tongue has been split between black and silver wire mesh. Reflective Bait branding is also present on the tongue. The shoe sits on a grey speckled white midsole. The underfoot features a translucent rubber for contrast to the dark upper of the sneaker. Additional lace options are also included such as black waxed rope, black waxed flat and silver 3M rope. Originally released in September 2015, the ‘Nightmare’ from ASICS and Bait are now available at Solezilla!

Price distribution Asics Gel Lyte 3

We compare this sneaker's price with the 306 other adult versions of the Asics Gel Lyte 3 that we track. At a lowest price of €145 this colorway is cheaper than 84% of those 306 versions. The group median sits at €252, with resale outliers up to €4.581. The chart shows exactly where this sneaker falls — the black marker — among all the others.

We always compare the lowest price a colorway is currently on sale for somewhere: the cheapest entry point, usually for one specific size. The comparison stays within the same age group, because a kids size (TD/PS/GS) is priced differently than an adult size. Because the price varies per size, your size may come out a little higher. To keep the comparison fair we leave out the most and least expensive two percent — the resale outliers, and the price axis is logarithmic so both the cheap and the pricey end stay readable. We refresh the numbers several times a day; last update 6 Sep 2026.

Hypescore × price

Hype doesn't have to be expensive. Each dot is a Asics Gel Lyte 3 colorway (of the 306 with a Hypescore): the further right, the more hype, and the higher a dot sits, the cheaper the sneaker. This sneaker is the photo with the red ring (Hypescore 23). Below the RRP they're called meltdowns: top-left the quiet price meltdowns (cheap, but little attention yet), top-right the radiating meltdowns — lots of hype and well below retail, the hottest deals. Above the RRP sit the grails: bottom-right the radiating grails (loved and pricey), and bottom-left the potential grails — pricey with little hype. That can simply be too expensive, but it's often where fresh drops and collabs appear that are too new to have gathered grail votes; their hype still has to build.
