Desert Cargo zet de toon: een gedempt kaki-groen dat ergens tussen woestijnzand en leger-olijf blijft hangen, warm en aards zonder ooit te schreeuwen. Daaroverheen legt de Chuck 70 een crèmekleurige egret-laag, terug te zien op de veters, de neuscap en die kenmerkende glanzende egret middenzool die de hele schoen optilt. Zwart duikt op in kleine accenten en houdt het geheel net scherp genoeg. Op de enkel zit de vertrouwde CT70-patch in reliëf, een klein knipoogje voor wie de lijn herkent onder code A00753C.
Het canvas bovenwerk houdt de schoen licht en luchtig, fijn als je hem hele dagen aanlaat. De hoge snit sluit rond je enkel en geeft steun zodra je tempo maakt of de rand van je broek eroverheen valt. Draag hem bij een verwassen jeans of een ruime cargobroek die dat groen oppikt, dan komt deze aardse kleurstelling pas echt tot leven.
