Some colors are just a color. Chlorophyll is a whole chapter. When Patta and Nike first dropped this green on an Air Max 1 back in 2009, they basically wrote the blueprint for every Amsterdam sneaker collab that followed — and fifteen years later the green is back, this time as part of Patta’s 20th Anniversary. The Air Max 1 is the canvas; the green plays the lead.
One look at the photo tells you why it sticks. A white mesh base across the toe and side panels, grey overlays that keep things calm, and then that bright chlorophyll green blasting across the mudguard, the Swoosh and the heel. The mudguard has a clear woven texture — not smooth leather, something rougher that gives the green depth. White laces, a white midsole, a visible Air window in the heel and an outsole that carries the green all the way to the ground. No noise, no gimmick. One color holding up the whole silhouette.
The green Patta put on the map in 2009
The original Patta × Nike Air Max 1 run from 2009 is, for a lot of people, the moment an Amsterdam label stood shoulder to shoulder with the biggest names in the game. Chlorophyll was the color that stuck around longest. Patta bringing the green back for its twentieth anniversary is no accident — it’s exactly the move you make when you know you’re iconic. The release landed on 13 September 2024, and since then the shoe has settled into the catalogue with a Hypescore sitting in the ATOMIC zone. The charge is still there, even if the first drop-day frenzy has cooled off.
The drop hype softened, the color didn’t
You can read that straight off the prices. At the drop you paid well over retail; the picture now is a lot friendlier. On the resale platforms the first pairs already show up around €110, while most of the regular shops sit between roughly €200 and €250 euros. From there it climbs quickly past €300 for specific sizes, and there’s even one listing drifting toward four figures — that’s not a market price, that’s someone hoping. Nearly everything here is priced in euros; on the UK side there’s a single listing around £128, and no US-dollar offers yet, so buyers in the States should factor shipping and import on top.
Whether you go for the 2024 version or still quietly want an OG from 2009, it pays to line the sizes and prices up before you commit. On the Patta ‘Chlorophyll’ page you can see at a glance which shop has which size and where the gap is — because with a colorway carrying this much history, you don’t want to overpay for a pair that’s cheaper three rows down.
