Dit seizoen stellen we met trots een samenwerking voor, of beter gezegd, creatieve clash, tussen enkele van de meest innoverende legendes in de skateboardwereld: De Vans x Krooked Featuring Art By Natas For Ray Barbee-collectie. Ja, lees dat nog eens. Vans sloeg de handen elkaar met Krooked Skateboards en vroeg aan Natas Kaupas om het grafisch werk te creren voor een hommage aan Ray Barbee. Hoe is dit mogelijk? We kunnen natuurlijk iets cools zeggen in de trend van ‘Legendes herkennen legendes’, maar eerlijk gezegd weten we nog steeds niet hoe we zoveel geluk hebben gehad. De meest opvallende skatekenmerken zijn de vernieuwde DURACAP-versterkte onderlagen en het volledig vernieuwde bovenwerk, gecombineerd met een nieuwe tweedelige foxingtape en een dieper kartelpatroon op de neus, zodat de Skate Slip-On stevig genoeg is om dagelijks gebruik tijdens skateboarden te weerstaan. De nieuwe voorgevormde hielkap en interne tongbanden houden je voeten stevig op hun plaats voor meer boardcontrole. Zelfs de gumrubberen zool van Vans is verbeterd met de SICKSTICK-rubbersamenstelling, voor meer grip en boardfeel.
