Nike Space Hippie 04 Black 50% Sustainable Materials (DQ2897-001)

Space Hippie is a story of trash transformed. From the label to the outsole, these visionary running shoes are made from at least 20% recycled materials by weight. Not only is the 04 the most lightweight silhouette in the collection, its colourful “Space Waste Yarn” upper, made from recycled plastic bottles, t-shirts and yarn scraps, includes approximately 80% recycled content by weight. A soft midsole combines Nike grind with a blend of foams for stability and a fun, speckled aesthetic. The Flyknit upper features stretchy, lightweight yarns made from post-industrial and post-consumer waste. Layers of colour make this a look that pops and the snug, bootie-like fit provides extra structure. Foam in the midsole provides world-class cushioning, while Nike Grind rubber adds fun specks of colour. The deconstructed design pairs a modern look with performance you have to feel to believe. Made from at least 20% recycled materials by weight, it lets you do good by looking good. Full-length rubber outsoles made with Nike Grind, feature a modified Waffle pattern for added traction. Woven-in yarn eyestays help lock in the fit.

Price distribution Sneaker

We compare this sneaker's price with the 5290 other adult versions of the Sneaker that we track. At a lowest price of €297 this colorway is pricier than 79% of those 5290 versions. The group median sits at €139, with resale outliers up to €46.342. The chart shows exactly where this sneaker falls — the black marker — among all the others.

We always compare the lowest price a colorway is currently on sale for somewhere: the cheapest entry point, usually for one specific size. The comparison stays within the same age group, because a kids size (TD/PS/GS) is priced differently than an adult size. Because the price varies per size, your size may come out a little higher. To keep the comparison fair we leave out the most and least expensive two percent — the resale outliers, and the price axis is logarithmic so both the cheap and the pricey end stay readable. We refresh the numbers several times a day; last update 1 Sep 2026.

Hypescore × price

Hype doesn't have to be expensive. Each dot is a Sneaker colorway (of the 5042 with a Hypescore): the further right, the more hype, and the higher a dot sits, the cheaper the sneaker. This sneaker is the photo with the red ring (Hypescore 21). Below the RRP they're called meltdowns: top-left the quiet price meltdowns (cheap, but little attention yet), top-right the radiating meltdowns — lots of hype and well below retail, the hottest deals. Above the RRP sit the grails: bottom-right the radiating grails (loved and pricey), and bottom-left the potential grails — pricey with little hype. That can simply be too expensive, but it's often where fresh drops and collabs appear that are too new to have gathered grail votes; their hype still has to build.
