A stability shoe with a second life

Saucony has existed since 1898 and is one of the oldest running brands in the world. The ProGrid Omni appeared around 2010 as a stability shoe for runners seeking extra support over longer distances.

What ProGrid does

The name refers to Saucony’s ProGrid cushioning: a system that absorbs shock while providing stability. Together with a sturdy sole and a relatively low weight, that made the Omni series popular within the running world for years.

Back as a tech runner

More than ten years later the Omni got a second life as a lifestyle model — nearly the same silhouette, now on the street. Unlike many purely retro releases, it retains much of the technology that once made it a running shoe, which fits the renewed interest in tech runners.
