Saucony Guide 18

The Guide is Saucony’s stability shoe, the counterpart to the neutral Ride. The model is intended for runners whose foot rolls inward after landing: it guides that motion rather than correcting it, which is the difference from the stiff corrective shoes of the past.

Support comes from the shape of the foam. Instead of a hard wedge on the inside, the midsole rises on both sides, so the foot stays centered without a clearly noticeable block. Under the foot lies the brand’s responsive foam with the name printed on the sole edge, and the brand logo runs across the side as a curved line pattern over the mesh. The upper is a thin woven panel with a padded collar.

The eighteenth generation followed the Ride in its direction: more foam, a softer upper and less pronounced guidance than older stability models. As a result, the shoe feels closer to a regular daily trainer.
