About Off-White Vulcanized

Off-White’s skate form

The Vulcanized is Off-White’s low-top, skate-inspired sneaker, from the brand the late Virgil Abloh founded in 2013 in Milan. While Off-White often makes large, luxury silhouettes, the Vulcanized deliberately opts for a simpler, more everyday shape.

Vulcanization as the foundation

The name refers to the construction: a vulcanized rubber sole bonded to the canvas or leather upper, like a classic skate shoe. That yields a flexible, low profile with a familiar, timeless look.

Off-White in the details

The brand’s hand remains recognizable: the signature arrows, quotation marks, and industrial branding that make an otherwise understated model unmistakably Off-White. In this way, the Vulcanized brings the house’s design language to a more accessible silhouette.
