About
Nike Revolution 7
The Revolution 7 is the seventh generation of Nike’s best-selling running shoe, and it’s not a racing model but the simplest one. The line serves the beginning runner and the gym-goer: light, soft and without technology that drives up the price. What the shoe lacks in technical claims, it gains in accessibility.
The construction is deliberately restrained. The upper consists of a single piece of knitted mesh with a padded collar, with the Swoosh as a separate panel on the side that also functions as a support element. The midsole is made of light foam, with a springy heel extension, and the outsole has rubber only on the wear areas; the rest of the tread is formed directly in the foam. The logo appears again in relief on the heel.
The generations differ little from one another, and that’s intentional. Where Nike revises its racing models annually, it sticks with what works for this line and mainly changes the colorways. The succession is therefore more a change of year than a break.
The complete line with all previous generations is on the Nike Revolution page. If you want a step up in cushioning, look to the Nike Vomero 18 as a daily trainer.
On this page you can see which versions of the Nike Revolution 7 are hottest right now according to the Hypescore, from what price they can be found and at how many shops they are in stock.
