Brooks Adrenaline

The Adrenaline is Brooks’ stability shoe, and that’s a category that is often misunderstood. It is not designed to make you run faster but to guide the foot: for many runners the foot tilts inward after landing, and the Adrenaline absorbs that motion without correcting it forcefully. The model has existed for more than twenty generations, which in running circles is an exceptional age.

The way that happens has changed over the years. Where stability shoes used to have a hard wedge on the inside, the Adrenaline works with firmer foam walls on both sides of the heel that keep the foot centered. The idea is that the shoe only intervenes when necessary, instead of permanently pushing the foot in one direction.

The letters after the name are a recognition point: GTS stands for Go-To Support and marks the model within the line. The number after it indicates the generation, and those follow one another steadily, in small steps rather than in big leaps.

Within the range the Brooks Ghost is the neutral counterpart for those who don’t need support, while the Brooks Glycerin is the softest-cushioned model.
