The Adidas Nizza Low is the low version of the Nizza, a vulcanized court sneaker from the adidas archive. It’s a clean, timeless silhouette: an upper of canvas or suede, the 3-Stripes on the side, a thick white rubber sole with a molded toe-cap and a vulcanized construction that gives the shoe its classic, slightly rough character. It’s adidas’ answer to the ever-present canvas court shoe.
Vulcanized, with a thick cupsole
At the core of the Nizza is the vulcanized sole. The rubber is formed into a thick, wavy block around the foot, with a wide toe-cap for protection and grip. Above that sits the canvas or suede upper with the three stripes, often with contrast stitching. It’s a simple, solid build that fits just as well on a board as it does on the street.

The Nizza Low falls under the Originals Nizza, with the Nizza Hi as its high counterpart. Where the Hi encloses the ankle, the Low keeps it low and open. Together they form one of adidas’ most recognizable vulcanized lines, with court and skate heritage as a common thread.
From skate-ADV to Y-3
Within the Low there are various versions. The ADV editions are tuned for skateboarding, with sturdier suede and a skate-friendly construction. And through the collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto the shoe appears as the Y-3 Nizza Low, in a more luxurious, minimalist execution. The same base shape, each time with a different approach.
What varies by version
The low court shape, the 3-Stripes and the vulcanized cupsole remain the same across versions. What changes is the material, canvas or suede, and whether it’s a standard, ADV or Y-3 edition. Place two versions side by side and the base is the same; the finishing determines the rest.
