The Adizero F50 is the street version of a football boot, and that shows in every detail. The model takes the design language of the F50 field boots from the noughties and puts it on a lifestyle sole: the same pointed toe, the same layered panels, but with a stacked midsole underneath instead of a stud plate.
The references are explicit. On the side is the designation of the technology the brand used in its football boots at the time, printed in small letters on the midsole, and there’s an F50 emblem on the toe. The three stripes sit as perforated bands over a mesh base, and the sole rim runs in multiple visible layers with a contrasting mid layer.
That fits the broader movement of football boots hitting the street. Where brands previously plundered their basketball and running archives, the design language now comes from the pitch, with the pointed toe as the clearest feature.
