Leo Chang and the Nike KD line
Leo Chang led the design of Kevin Durant's signature shoes at Nike for many years. His name is attached to over three hundred iterations, spread across more than ten models in the basketball category. The range runs from the early releases to the recent generations, with a team model as well. The KD line has remained low and lightweight over the years, tailored to a player who moves a lot and shoots from outside. Where the early models still used leather and mesh, the later ones mainly use knit material and cushioning that runs the full length of the sole. The KD 4 stands at the start of that development and is still noticeably more heavily built than what followed. In the later models, leather almost entirely disappears from the upper and the weight is reduced further with each generation.
The main branches in the current line-up are the KD 14, KD 15 and KD 17, which mainly differ in sole construction. In addition, the Hyperdunk also bears this name, a team model that is separate from the signature series. Below you can filter by size, color and target group.
