De kleurstelling doet meteen wat je wilt: een warme fox brown draagt de hele schoen, opgetild door romige cream-tinten en afgesloten met een honingkleurige gum-zool. Die drie tonen praten met elkaar in plaats van te schreeuwen. Het nylon bovenwerk geeft de fox brown een zacht, licht mat karakter, terwijl suede overlays op neus en zijkanten net dat beetje diepte en textuur toevoegen dat een colorway van dichtbij interessant houdt.
Praktisch pakt dat goed uit. Nylon is licht en soepel, dus je voelt de schoen nauwelijks; de suede geeft een premium, aaibaar oppervlak dat mooi patineert. De gum-zool grijpt lekker op gladde vloeren en past bij de retro-lijn van deze lage Samba (IE0579). Styling is simpel: laat de cream en het bruin het werk doen bij een rechte jeans, met de zoom subtiel opgerold zodat de gum-rand net zichtbaar blijft; kies sokken een tint donkerder dan de cream om de warme bruintint extra te laten spreken.
