Hellstar x adidas Megaride S2 ‘Black / Bright Red’ (LB5626): flames moulded into a Y2K runner

Hellstar x adidas Megaride S2 Black Bright Red LB5626

Most collabs whisper. This one turns up with the sirens already going. Hellstar, Sean Holland’s cult label, reached deep into the adidas archive, pulled out the Megaride — a Y2K speed-runner with polished pods bolted under the heel — and set the whole thing on fire.

Flames you can feel, not just see

Look close at the side and the flames aren’t printed on. They’re moulded into the upper, a raised exoskeleton of fire crawling across the mesh and the panels in real relief. The colour runs from deep red at the toe to pure black at the heel, a gradient that pulls your eye along the whole silhouette. There are no laces up top — a twist dial sits at the instep instead — and the Hellstar signature runs down the side in silver. The payoff is at the bottom: the Megaride wears its pod sole wide open, here in high-gloss black, so you look straight through the construction. You clock this shoe from across the street. That is the entire point.

Loud, but not a gimmick

Hellstar usually lives on jerseys and hoodies with that scrappy star logo, and the jump to footwear could easily have been a sticker slapped on a stock runner. It isn’t. The Megaride is already an extreme shape — a concept car for your feet — and the flames push that shape harder instead of hiding it. Red fading into black is also a colourway almost nobody looks bad in, however loud the rest of the shoe gets. adidas lists the official colour as Black / Bright Red.

Two days out, and already split in two

The adidas Megaride S2 drops on 10 October 2026, and listings have already landed on Solezilla.com — every one of them in euros. Right now the floor sits at Overkill around €199 euros, which is your regular-retail route. Above that there’s a marketplace listing at €375 euros on Geturbrick, which is firmly resale territory. Nothing in pounds or dollars on this pair yet, so if you’re shopping from the UK or US, add shipping and import before you get attached to any number. A Hellstar collab usually means a tight run, so don’t count on a quiet restock the week after — whoever wants this one needs to be there on drop day.

More on the silhouette lives on the adidas Megaride page, and everything Hellstar has put out sits on the Hellstar collab page. Line the prices up per shop and per size before you commit. This is the kind of pair that stops the whole timeline or splits it clean down the middle, no in-between. So: Grail or Bail? Drop your vote and we’ll see how hard it climbs. Rule the Hype.
