Nike Book 2 “Iron Fist” (FZ7013-002): a silver fist from Detroit

Nike Book 2 "Iron Fist" (FZ7013-002)

Some sneakers whisper. The Nike Book 2 “Iron Fist” (FZ7013-002) does not. A full coat of metallic silver, a single black Swoosh cutting across it, and a translucent sole with an icy blue glow underneath — this is Devin Booker turning a basketball shoe into a monument. And a monument is exactly what it points to.

The upper isn’t your usual stacked leather. It’s a moulded, sculpted shell, hard-edged, with ridges running over the forefoot like folded metal. All of it in chrome-bright silver. The black Swoosh is the only real break in the colour, backed up by black laces and a black heel pull tab. A near-white rim around the collar softens the whole thing from above. Flip it over and that clear outsole lifts the shoe off the ground instead of letting it sit there as one silver block.

Why a fist, and why Detroit

The colourway nods to the Joe Louis monument in downtown Detroit — the giant bronze fist hanging on cables near Hart Plaza that everyone in the city just calls “The Fist.” Joe Louis grew up in Detroit and became a boxing legend there. Booker is a Michigan kid, and he keeps pulling that thread through his signature line. Nothing is printed on the outside: no logo of the monument, no name. The reference lives in the colour and the shape, a solid metallic mass meant to land like bronze hanging over a junction. Inside sits an insole with a map of Detroit, and that’s where the storytelling stops.

What it costs right now

This was a broad release, not a raffle, so the job is simply to shop around. On Solezilla.com we’re tracking six active listings across four shops today, and every one of them is priced in euros. Nike itself sits at the bottom at €149.99, with Foot District right beside it around €150, and Stadium Goods at the top at €171.95. There’s no pound offer on this pair at the moment; in dollars, Sneaker Politics lists it at $145, which lines up neatly with the $145 US retail. UK and US buyers working off the euro listings should factor in shipping and import before any number looks like a bargain.

The Hypescore still reads INERT — it only dropped on 2 September, so the market hasn’t had time to charge it up yet. That’s not a knock; it’s what a fresh, widely available release looks like before the resale data piles in.
