Diepzwart met een vleugje anthracite: deze Nike Air Max Waffle SP houdt het bewust monochroom, en dat maakt de variant juist zo sterk. Het grijsgroene donker van anthracite legt zich als een subtiele schaduw over het zwart, waardoor de textuurverschillen pas van dichtbij gaan spreken. Het mesh op de bovenkant vangt licht anders dan de gladde leren details eromheen, en dat spel tussen mat en glad geeft een simpele kleurstelling verrassend veel diepte. Praktisch werkt die opzet net zo goed. Het mesh laat lucht door, dus je voeten blijven koel op langere dagen, terwijl het leer vorm houdt en met een doek zo weer schoon veegt.
